I'm a digital artist. I've been creating art for over 10 years starting with traditional mediums like pencil and oil paints before transitioning into digital. Art has always been a constant in my life, a way to process my thoughts, tell stories and frankly just make sense of the world around me.
Over the years I've explored different styles and approaches, experimented with techniques and learned from both successes and failures and now I'm excited to welcome you to this course Digital Genre Painting. Here I'll be sharing everything I've learned along the way, my experiences with improving as an artist, honing my skills and figuring out my place in arts basics. Whether you're just starting out or you've been making art for years, I'm sure you'll find something valuable in this course.
Digital art is such a dynamic medium and I want to help you navigate it with confidence, creativity and a better understanding of artistic storytelling. But beyond the technical aspects we'll also talk about some of the broader ideas that shape an artist's journey.

These lessons combine theory of crucial concepts to help you escape the traditional rules in the art sphere, and practical videos where you will get the essence of digital genre painting and how to create it on your own.
The idea is not to copy-paste the artwork, but truly understand the concept and make it yours.

This module is divided into 5 lessons, covering the tools I use and the setup of Procreate for this type of art style.

The perception of what is difficult is holding you back from progressing faster. Simplifying objects into concepts will help you understand their essence and make you confident to draw them

BASICS OF GENRE PAINTING PT.1
This module is divided into 4 blocks:
- Sketch - choosing and understanding reference images
- Sketch - transferring the perception from 3D to 2D
- Sketch - composition
- Turpentine wash - Understanding and establishing contrast and values
MODULE 6.
BASICS OF GENRE PAINTING PT.2
This module is divided into 3 main blocks:
- First pass - Finding focal points, Defining composition, Finalizing depth and light/shadow, Blending and defocusing elements
- Final pass - Edges, Texture, Color correcting and Clarity
- Post-production - Adding filters, Tweaking settings, Applying effects
